The Facilities

The facility, recently renovated by a renowned Roman architect, is stylishly furnished with attention to detail. It is located in the historic center of Rome, in the Esquilino district, inside the Aurelian Walls and has an exclusive overlook over the Helenianae Baths ruins and the Aqua Alexandrina: the former take their name from the mother of Costantine I, Elena, who restored them after a fire occurred in 323-326 AD; the latter provided the water supply for the city.

“I Saturnali” is the ideal solution both for the tourist who wants to enjoy walking around the city, and for the professional who is looking for a full-optional furnished accommodation with a cleaning service that can be adjusted in frequency according to one’s personal needs.

Access to the facility is completely automated.

Historical overview

I Saturnali (Saturnalia) was and ancient Roman festival and holiday in honor of the god Saturn’s settlement into his temple and of the legendary Golden Age. The Saturnalia atmosphere reminds a modern Carnival, but it took place between December 17 and 23, making it comparable to the modern Christmas and New Year’s holiday season.

All of this, because Saturn was believed to have been the god of the Golden Age, an era in which men lived happily and in wealth.

The facility takes its name from this playful meaning of the word.
